All Revol customers with Revol regional coverage or extended coverage can utilize nationwide roaming.

how much does nationwide roaming cost?
There is no charge to add nationwide roaming to your account. When you are traveling in roaming coverage, all calls made and received will cost $0.19 per minute. In order to place or receive calls, you must have a minimum of $2.00 in your Revol Bucks account.

how do I add money to my account for nationwide roaming?
To add money to your account for nationwide roaming, you just simply need to add money to your Revol Bucks account by (1) dialing *611 from your Revol phone, (2) calling 1.800.REVOLHQ, (3) logging on to my revol or (4) visiting a participating Revol Wireless location. Every time you add money to your Revol Bucks account for nationwide roaming, you should update your preferred roaming list (prl) by dialing *228 SEND.

what is a preferred roaming list (prl)?
A preferred roaming list (prl) is a list of our roaming partners that is stored on your Revol phone. When you travel into a roaming area, this list provides your phone the ability to roam onto their networks.

how do I update my preferred roaming list (prl)?
While you are in a Revol Wireless home network (Cleveland, Akron/Canton, Youngstown, Toledo, Columbus, Indianapolis, Anderson/Muncie), dial *228 from your Revol phone and follow the instructions to update your preferred roaming list at anytime.

who can I contact for information or help with an issue while I am roaming?
Dial *611 from your Revol phone (free call) or 1.800.REVOLHQ from another phone and you will be connected to customer service.

how much does directory assistance cost when I am roaming outside of the Revol Wireless network?
Directory assistance will cost $1.50 per directory assistance call, plus $0.19 per minute for the duration of the directory assistance call. If you have the unlimited directory assistance feature on your calling plan, you will only be charged $0.19 per minute for the duration of the call.

what if I’m out of the revol wireless network and I need to purchase additional minutes?
You can always dial *611 or 611 from your Revol phone to add additional money to your Revol Bucks account.

am I charged for calling revol customer service while roaming?
No. If you dial *611 or 611 to contact customer care, you will not be charged for the duration of your call, even if you are out of the Revol Wireless network.

Yes. You will be able to dial 911 (free of charge) when traveling outside of the Revol Wireless network.

how do I know when I am roaming?
Your phone should indicate when you are roaming by the word ROAM, letter “R”, or a “▲” symbol appearing on the phone. When you are in the Revol Wireless network, these indicators will not appear. Refer to your phone manual for specific roaming indicators.

how do I place a call when I am roaming outside of the revol wireless network?
Just place a call like normal. After you dial the 10-digit phone number (area code + phone number), press "SEND”.

how do I know when I am placing a roaming call?
After you dial the number and press “SEND”, you will hear a message stating “This is a roaming call. You have $xx.xx to complete this call.”

what happens if I place a phone call while I am roaming?
If you are roaming outside of the Revol Wireless network and you place a call, you will be charged the Revol roaming per minute rate of $0.19 per minute. A recording will inform you of your Revol Bucks balance prior to connecting the call.

what happens if I receive a phone call while I am roaming outside of the revol wireless network?
If you are roaming outside of the Revol Wireless network and you receive a phone call and answer, you will be charged for the duration of that call out of your Revol Bucks account.

what happens if I receive a phone call while I am roaming outside of the revol wireless network and choose not to answer it (missed call)?
If you are roaming outside of the Revol Wireless network and you receive a phone call and choose not to answer it (missed call), you will not be charged for that phone call. If you have a voice mail box, the caller will be transferred to voicemail. You will only be charged for the calls you choose to make or receive.

If you attempt to place a call while roaming outside of the Revol Wireless network and you do not have sufficient funds in your Revol Bucks account, you will be directed to call customer care.

If you receive a call, while roaming outside of the Revol Wireless network and you do not have sufficient funds in your Revol Bucks account, the calling party will be connected to your voicemail.

Please check to see if your phone is set for "Home Only". If your phone is set to "Home Only", please change it to Roaming or Automatic (this is phone dependent). Please refer to your phone manual for instructions.

Your call may have dropped for the following reasons:
  • you may have traveled from one network to another
  • You entered an area with inadequate signal strength
We cannot guarantee the quality of service on a roaming partner’s network. Please note that Revol Wireless will not waive charges for dropped calls off network.

when I try to make a call, why am I asked for a credit card when I have funds in my revol bucks account?
There are some areas across the country where Revol does not have roaming partner. If you hear this notification, you are traveling in an area that is not part of the Revol nationwide roaming network. If you decide to use a credit card to complete the call, Revol wireless will not reimburse you for the charges.

Yes, you may still check your voice mail when roaming outside of Revol wireless network by dialing *86 or your 10-digit phone number. You will be charged $0.19 per minute for the duration of the call.

can I still utilize text messaging when I am roaming outside of the revol wireless network?
At this time, only voice calls are supported in the Revol nationwide roaming network. We are working on a solution that will allow you to utilize text messaging while roaming.

While you are roaming outside of the Revol Wireless network, you will not be able to access any features other than voice calls.

If this occurs while you are in the Revol Wireless network, please set your phone to "Home Only". This will prevent you from roaming while in the Revol Wireless network. Please refer to your phone manual for instructions. After changing your settings, power off your phone and then turn back on for the changes to occur.
